• No, it’s an Intel pentium. That said, it works fine and provides features only found on premium models (tablet/stand mode, Beats Audio, etc.)

• This machine has an Intel Pentium Processor and is not as advanced as an i5, which is from the Intel Pentium Core group of processors. However from experience it performs kind of like between an i3 and i5. Though it is NOT an Intel Pentium CORE, it operates well, but could be even snappier and more responsive. You'll need to judge for yourself.
