Can I opt out from Windows 8 and get 7 instead? null

Not from the box. You could always install windows 7on your own.... but you can also use windows 8 like 7....not use the touch features and "escape" back to using mouse and keyboard with the windows 7 look.

This HP PC is warranted as configured. This HP PC has Microsoft Windows 8 operating system. I recommend contacting Microsoft for any downgrade possibilities.
