• Once it is opened past a certain point, never measured about 180 degs, it disables the keyboard and touch pad.

• No, when you fold it over into tablet mode, it automatically disables the keyboard.

• I am so happy to tell you it does not. Not sure how it works, but I know that I not set up anything: so it must be automatic. I just flip it and put It on my elliptical and swipe!
