• Thank you for reaching out. This computer could work well for you. You may find the smaller keyboard to be uncomfortable when typing large papers though.

• Yes, although it is slow which can be frustrating at times. You can upgrade to a 250GB SSD though (around $60) and the performance would improve immensely.
