“Regarding RAM upgrade from 4GB to 8GB: It was asked here by 2 individuals, but responses from HP Team gave conflicting answers. One said it can support up to 8GB and one said it will not support an upgrade from 4GB. Please clarify Thanks.”

My documents show that it has a single RAM slot and could support up to 8GB.

Yes it can be upgraded to 8GB RAM. It is just a simple adding of another 4GB RAM card.
