The motherboard on this PC only has two SATA ports. They are populated by the original HDD and the CDROM Drive. I think the CDROM Drive uses a special power connector so the only real option for a SATA SSD would be to replace the included HDD. This motherboard does include a M.2 SSD slot however. You'll pay more but you'll be able to keep the original HDD. Not all m.2 drives are created equal however. I would call HP Support to see if they have a list of supported m.2 drives for this PC. Once you've got one installed you can image the original drive over or just install Windows 10 fresh from installation media. This can be bought or you can create your own using a thumb drive.
