A:Answer I did a lot of research and bought the same unit. It is working well with one Dell 4K external monitor. I can't speak to how it works with another two monitors but bear in mind only one port is 4K capable on this Hub.
Also note that occasionally the screen size settings seem to screw up and the font and apps turn very small. After a bit of stuffing around I have found that logging out and logging back in almost always rectifies the issue with no other setting changes needed.
Finally, I have a couple of different USB hubs of good quality and power (one Cheotech and one QI) - these do not seem to be able to charge the laptop while it is running - certainly when used the lapto does't show the charging symbol on the battery indicator on screen (and a HP message says "for full performance, connect a higher capacity power adapter") . I suspect they will charge when the machine is off but yet to confirm.
The plugable hub mentioned DOES provide a suitable power supply.
