A:AnswerYes, backlit (1 level) like the others have mentioned, but it's worth noting that the backlit keys are much easier to view on the dark ash silver models.
A:AnswerMy wife purchased this laptop specifically for Adobe and Premier. Yes, it works fine. She does graphic designing for "Second Life" and she uses 4 or 5 higher end graphics type programs and they work on this just as well as on the desktop pc. She's very happy with this one!!
A:AnswerI did a lot of research and bought the same unit. It is working well with one Dell 4K external monitor. I can't speak to how it works with another two monitors but bear in mind only one port is 4K capable on this Hub.
Also note that occasionally the screen size settings seem to screw up and the font and apps turn very small. After a bit of stuffing around I have found that logging out and logging back in almost always rectifies the issue with no other setting changes needed.
Finally, I have a couple of different USB hubs of good quality and power (one Cheotech and one QI) - these do not seem to be able to charge the laptop while it is running - certainly when used the lapto does't show the charging symbol on the battery indicator on screen (and a HP message says "for full performance, connect a higher capacity power adapter") . I suspect they will charge when the machine is off but yet to confirm.
The plugable hub mentioned DOES provide a suitable power supply.
A:AnswerThese models have the 2017 Intel HD 620 GPU's. I believe the Iris Pro's were 2016 GPU's. Check out Intel GPU's on Wikipedia for more info on the different generations of GPU's. The higher-end 15" models use NVIDIA GeForce 940MX dedicated GPU's.
A:AnswerIt's not and I wouldn't hold my breath. If you want an Iris model, go to Costco and the XPS 13. it has a Intel 7650 Iris in it. Otherwise get the 15" of this model and it has an Nvidia chipset in it.
A:AnswerHuge problems with the display this is my 3rd laptop and I'm having issues right out if the box for each one. My 1st one would freeze entirely, the second one would glitch and black bars would come across the screen and the 3rd one which I just got yesterday mind you, after the login page the screen turns entirely black. I don't know if this is a Windows 10 issue or the hardware on this laptop but it's unacceptable that a $1500 laptop has issues like this. I'm hoping that I'll give it one more try and it will be good if not I'm contacting HP and best buy management about this.
