A:Answer Optane is a type of "cache" memory. Without getting too technical, there's a good chance that the last bit of data that the processor used will be used again soon. Rather than having to possibly grab the data again from the hard drive, a copy is placed in the cache. Then, if it's needed, it can be retrieved very quickly. Basically, what it does for you is to speed up a lot of routine computer operations.
