QuestionWhat ? No number pad?Sorry to be so dumb, but what do you do? Is this typical now on newer computers?

- Answer Most laptops don't have a number pad, unless they are large (15+ inches in screen size). There's no room! However, the keyboards usually have a number pad overlaid on the right hand side of the keyboard (e.g. using U I O J K L and M keys). You can access these numeric keys using the fn/Function key.

- Answer Well, it kinda depends on what you mean. No dedicated video card like an Nvidia, but it does have an Intel 5500 graphics system. It uses shared memory, so in that sense it is not dedicated. Bottom line, if you are looking to play games this should be passable for older games but probably not so much for anything from the last couple of years. This is a great general purpose laptop.

QuestionBattery life hit with QHD & 512 gig SSDWhat is the penalty in battery life with the QHD screen plus 512 gig SSD versus the model with HD screen & 256 gig SSD. I don't plan to do much more than web browsing but only 4 - 5 hrs of battery life before needing a recharge is a deal killer for me. The official line from HP is something like 12 hours that some reviewers claim is untrue. The HP response about battery life is essentially "It depends ....". That is not useful. I would like feedback from actual buyers.

- Answer I've been using the HP Spectre 4102dx for college for a short while. The QHD screen is simply marvelous and the battery doesn't seem to take much of hit. Standby time is incredible! I've had it in standby for 48 hrs and it lost only 5%! I haven't plugged it in three or four days with intermittent use and it still has 23%! Excellent computer!

QuestionIntel Core i7 - 8GB Memory - 512GB vs Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - 256GB ?I'd really like the 512GB SSD but worry that the i7 CPU will use up the battery faster. I also don't actually NEED the more powerful CPU. I'm replacing a 6 year old HP with a core i5 M 450 that most of the time has all the power I need. I just want a lighter device that can last a 10 hour day instead of 2.5 hours! Does anyone know if there is any noticeable difference in battery life? Also, I only use basic non-gaming things like Word, browsing with 20+ open tabs and sometimes streaming video. Obviously I like the extra storage, but would I even notice any difference from the Core i7 vs the i5??

- Answer You need the extra power of the i7! It is worth it. The battery lasts a long time compared to a laptop with a HD.

QuestionModel: 13-4102dx - Any overheating issues when computer is used in tablet mode?The air vents on the bottom of the computer are covered up when folded into the tablet mode.

- Answer There are also air vents on the left side of the computer that aren't affected when in tablet mode. I have not had any overheating issues, but I use it mostly in laptop mode.

- Answer According to the HP Support Assistant, it has an SanDisk SD7SN6S-512G-1006 solid state drive, which makes it part of the SSD X300, M.2 2280 RNL OEM-06 lineup. So, it is an M.2 SSD.

- Answer The adapter is capable of handling voltage from 110 to 220 which makes it usable across the world. just you might want to take a physical adapter as the in power points are different in Europe and Asia as against what we use in the USA. I do tnat see that any of this will harm the laptop itself.

- Answer Yes, this HP x360 is great at watching movies in HD. I tested this by connecting an external DVD drive (LG) and watching World War Z. You may want to adjust the sound, speakers are not to loud in default.

- Answer Last I checked, there was a Windows 8 version that came with free upgrade to Windows 10. It was selling for $100-200 dollars cheaper than the one that has Windows 10 already installed. Check with Best Buy or HP.
