• As far as I know, NO, you cannot. The machine is non-expandable, per HP. If you mean pre-purchase, check out their website. You can configure one the way you like and have it shipped to your home. It takes a few extra weeks, as the laptop must be built to your specifications. But post-build, they are not designed to be expandable Tip: Use ReadyBoost and a Thumbdrive or an SD card....

• If you know someone who works on laptops, and you have two 8GB sticks of DDR3 you potentially could increase the ram.
