QuestionIf the computer is OFF and you fold it into tablet mode, and then turn it on, are the touch pad & touch pad buttons active?So far, I have found that all of the HP x360s have the following design flaw. I’m wondering if this newer one still has this design flaw? Here’s how to test it. With the computer OFF, open up the computer, and fold it all the way into tablet mode. Then turn on the computer, leaving it in tablet mode. The problem has been that, when the HP computers are turned on in this tablet mode, the touch pad and the touch pad buttons would be active, and that causes obvious problems. If it is working properly, none of the buttons, the touchpad, nor the keyboard should be active, in this tablet mode.

- Answer The answer is no. If you power the laptop on while in tablet mode, the keyboard and the touchpad are not active. 1) Powered laptop off in laptop mode 2) Turned into Tablet mode 3) Turned on laptop 4) Keyboard and touchpad don't work 5) Flip back to laptop mode, Keyboard and touchpad now work

QuestionAny problems/regrets using programs with this QHD display vs. the FHD model?Hi! We are ready to purchase the HP Spectre x360 13.3 but have been a bit "stuck" deciding between this QHD model vs the FHD. We know the QHD will consume a bit more battery and maybe get an hour or two less pushing more pixels around but that's not a big concern as even 6 hours of real time use is enough for us. The real concern is if there are any scaling issues running programs under Windows. We know some older programs don't scale well and have tiny menus and icons but we won't be using any older programs than Office 2013. Also, Windows 10 is only one day away from release and each version of Windows seems to handle scaling better with more options. We don't really need the larger 512 gig in this model (vs. the 256 gig in the FHD model since we own a Network Attached Storage device) but I do love high resolution displays were the "jaggies" of text are not very evident. Any opinions? Do we get this QHD or the FHD. Prod and Cons would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

- Answer I originally got the model with the the FHD but returned it for the QHD. I'm glad I did! I am using Windows 10 and I haven't noticed any scaling issues. QHD is worth the extra money...

QuestionWhat is the difference between model 13-4102dx and 13-4005dx?

- Answer The differences are slight. The 13-4005dx was released in Spring of 2015 and the 13-4102 was released July 29th, with the Win 10 release. The 13-4005dx is slightly heavier (3.33lb) and comes preloaded with Windows 8,1. The 13-4102 is slightly lighter (3.17lb) and comes preloaded with Win10.... Good luck!

- Answer There is an HDMI port on the right side of the laptop. Once you have it plugged in, go to Settings / Display / Extend this Display.

- Answer There is no GPS built in. However, Windows 8.1 has it's own apps that can be used. I recommend checking with Microsoft to see what is available.
