With the computer OFF, open up the computer, and fold it all the way into tablet mode. Then turn on the computer, leaving it in tablet mode. The problem has been that, when the HP computers are turned on in this tablet mode, the touch pad and the touch pad buttons would be active, and that causes obvious problems. If it is working properly, none of the buttons, the touchpad, nor the keyboard should be active, in this tablet mode.”

The answer is no. If you power the laptop on while in tablet mode, the keyboard and the touchpad are not active. 1) Powered laptop off in laptop mode 2) Turned into Tablet mode 3) Turned on laptop 4) Keyboard and touchpad don't work 5) Flip back to laptop mode, Keyboard and touchpad now work
