Mine shipped with the THNSN5512GPUK TOSHIBA - 476.94 GB internal NVMe SSD. It should be possible to upgrade to 1 TB -- I might be tempted to stick with that same Toshiba series. The only issues would be physical size and possible increased heat generation. Best Buy told me that the Geek Squad will install and upgrade the internal SSD, even if I buy the drive elsewhere, and maintain my warranty. However, I can find no way to externally reuse that 512GB SSD that is currently installed. There is no NVMe-to-USBC converter that I can find.
