I don't have exactly this model. Mine has 16 GB. I have a lot of sync programs running like GDrive and OneDrive. Fan will kick-in often if those are syncing but if it's too loud I stop the sync. I imagine it would kick in more often with less RAM.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Good question. The cooling fan turns on whenever the computer is running at higher powers and needs to be cooled down. The more demanding the program is, the harder the laptop has to work to keep up with processing demands. This is when the fan would turn on. I hope this helps.
