A:AnswerIt should be. If your case is too big you may have to remove it for the proper connection to charge your phone. First remove the small rubber strip at the base of where you insert the phone. That will give you a little more space to connect. If that doesn't work then you have to remove the case.
A:AnswerAs long as you have it set on your iPhone and you make sure you are in DOCK mode on the base it should use the speaker on the base to announce your alarm. I haven't used it specifically yet. However, I've used radio apps while it is anchored to the base and they work fine.
