• A:Answer Yes. Starting at the top of your screen swipe down with your finger and it will open up a little control panel window. In the upper right hand corner tap the sprocket and it will give you a list of commands. The one you want is named language and input Tap it and this is where you can change the language.

• A:Answer I would not consider this a rugged unit. You would need a case and some screen covers to protect it. Might be better getting a rugged notebook that folds over to give you more flexibility and more memory. I use lots of maps and this is not the device I would choose just due to memory requirements for mapping. NOTE: if maps are simply a jpeg or pdf then the memory is not as important. If you need to use a mapping program or connect to the internet to use a GIS program .. NO this is not the device for you,

• A:Answer No. Only 2.4 gig . You can Check by using your hot spot in 2.4 gig setting and after you connect, switch to 5 gig setting. Provided you use the same settings for each connection, when you switch from 2.4 to 5 it will show in connections, if your device has dual band capability.
