A:AnswerThere may be cut paper or paper dust in the sensor that triggers when paper is inserted. A can of compressed air or a vacuum might help to clear that.
A lot of the sensors are optical and cut paper/paper dust can cover them. If a mechanical sensor, then the shredded paper can sometimes hold the sensor where it thinks there is paper inserted.
A:AnswerTry putting the shredder in reverse and the in forward mode to reset the machine. Also try turning it off, unplugging it, turning it back on and then putting it bac in forward/shred mode. Perhaps that will allow it to work again.
