There is a button on the lower right side and when pressed it will release your phone by opening the arms that hold the phone in place sort of hydraulically. However you have to squeeze the arms together once you put your phone in it, for it to hold it in place.
A:AnswerI was using it to charge a Galaxy S-9, a Galaxy S-10, and an Apple iPhone 8. It will charge for a while, but you'll notice the charging light starts blinking and charging stops.
