Q: QuestionHi. Who’s the original manufacturer for the 17 cu ft stainless steel model? Thank you.
Asked by oshaughnessy.
- A:Answer Midea Model WHS-625FWESS1 from a huge Chinese company with plants all over the world, except here. Samsclub featured Midea window air conditioners this summer (2018). We bought a basic 5000 BTU unit to supplement in the kitchen and absolutely love it. It looks shiny beautiful, cools like a trooper and is quiet. Sam's carried units on up to many thousands of BTU's. All except the basic mechanical one for $109 carry all the latest electronic features. As an aside we also have a Midea stainless steel insert 6.5 quart instant pot purchased elsewhere that works flawlessly day after day, in fact my original taller instant pot is retired to the basement as a backup. Bottom line, I expect nothing but the best from this very hard working successful company.
