dont see why you cant just use the main speakers solo. as far as stereo sound? well thats out the window, you will loose all the sound that should be coming from the other speaker so it wont even be true mono.

Please try again later.short answer is yes, but if you dont connect the second speaker most likely you wont get the stereo sound, you can get away with using only one speaker but you might get annoyed for not being able to hear the left channel. some spear might be able to handle stereo sound by just using one but thats because they are all ready made like that for example a guitar amp that has only one speaker but it comes with a rca aux input or a 3,5 mm input

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you connect it with a stereo minijack cable, you will hear only one channel of the stereo TV. However, if you get a stereo to mono conversion jack to blend both channels from the TV, this would work perfectly. BB doesn't carry one, but you can find one online. Just search for: 3.5mm Stereo Plug to 3.5mm Mono Jack Adapter
