A:Answer It can be used anywhere you can use your computer. If your computer is on battery power, or plugged into the AC power supply in the truck it will work. If you are thinking of using it without a computer and plugging it directly into a USB power outlet in the truck, I can not tell you if it is designed to work in that fashion, however, I can tell you that there are plenty of multi port USB adapters made to go into a cigarette lighter or other power port in vehicles and they are a lot let expensive then this device.
