“Instructions are not clear on this. When I first run cleaning cycle on new machine, do I place water in the lower chamber? If so, how much. Instructions say to clean cycle before using but doesn't mention water... Thx!”

I'm assuming since it's been a month you've figured this out. For others, yes, fill with water, run cleaning cycle, drain by removing both tubes from back of machine and pulling the plug that's attached to both tubes. Make sure to wipe out water area. Oh, the little white ramp/perforated filter in the bottom of the water bin....pop that off and wipe out the water inlet underneath there. If you don't, it will get gunked up!
