Keep in mind the TV needs wifi to use Alexa though or report to Amazon servers so if you keep the TV off of wifi it shouldn't be able to record you or anything like that. I also have Xfinity X1 and the voice remote function for that only works when your TV is on the Xfinity HDMI port signal and not on the Fire TV home screen.
