• It’s not to bad we have it in our living room and don’t have to turn tv up. We have ours on comfort so it turns on and off automatically

• On your bigger units it will have some noise but that’s usual coming from big dehumidifier. Depending on how big your basement is, the further it is away from the bedroom the less you will hear it.
