  • QuestionWhat is the wattage

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hi! The Insignia™ 6.7 Cu. Ft. Electric Dryer with Sensor Dry (NS-TDRE67W1) typically operates at around 5,000 to 6,000 watts, which is standard for most full-size electric dryers. This wattage allows it to efficiently dry large loads using its various drying cycles. Make sure it's connected to a 240V outlet, as required for high-wattage appliances. Jeth|Insignia Support.

  • QuestionIt is taking almost 3 hrs to dry a load of towels...why?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Thank you for your inquiry! If your Insignia™ 6.7 Cu. Ft. Electric Dryer with Sensor Dry is taking nearly three hours to dry a load of towels, several factors could be at play. One common reason is lint buildup, either in the lint filter or the exhaust vent, which can restrict airflow and reduce drying efficiency. Make sure to clean the lint trap before every load and inspect the vent hose for any blockages or kinks. Another possibility is the sensor dry function—if the moisture sensors inside the drum are dirty or malfunctioning, the dryer may not detect dryness accurately and continue running longer than necessary. Additionally, towels are dense and absorbent, so they naturally take longer to dry, especially if the dryer is overloaded. Using the wrong drying cycle, such as a low heat or eco mode, can also extend drying time. For towels, it's best to use a high heat setting like “Heavy Duty” or “Very Dry.” Lastly, ensure that the dryer is receiving the proper 240V electrical supply and that the ventilation system is efficient and unobstructed. If all these areas check out and the issue persists, it may be time to contact Insignia support or a technician for further inspection.

  • QuestionCan i just plug it in a regular outlet or do i need to get some type on converter?

    Asked by Esperanza.

    • Answer The Insignia™ 6.7 Cu. Ft. Electric Dryer with Sensor Dry requires a 240-volt outlet. This means you cannot plug it into a regular 120-volt household outlet. You'll need a dedicated 240-volt outlet, which is typically used for large appliances like dryers and ovens. If you don't already have a 240-volt outlet, you might need to have one installed by a licensed electrician. This ensures the dryer operates safely and efficiently.

  • QuestionMy dryer came without the power cord.

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Dryers do not come with cords anymore. I don’t know of any brand that does. You must buy them separately. Being able to plug them in straight out of the box is a thing of the past. When you replace your dryer for a new one, keep your cord.

  • QuestionIs purchase of power cord required for puchase OR required for warranty?? Is $69 extra warranty begin after expiration of one year??

    Asked by 1234.

    • Answer Hello, 1) power cord was not included. Make sure you buy one per your wall outlet "style" (it varies in old / newer houses - take photo if in doubt). Manual has instructions to properly wire it to back of machine (check youtube for tutorials). 2) About extend warranty, your documentation says when it starts and what it covers. Generally it starts / is active once manufacturer's warranty ends.

  • QuestionOk so the cord it shows me when checking out is the 3 & 4 flat prong. I need the 3 regular prong. I don't have any outlets with the flat prong. So if it's showing me the flat prong cord does it mean I can only use that1? By regular I mean like an iron p

    Asked by Ivy.

    • Answer The Insignia™ 6.7 Cu. Ft. Electric Dryer typically comes with options for both 3-prong and 4-prong power cords, but the cords are usually sold separately. If the checkout is showing a flat prong cord, it might be defaulting to the 4-prong option. You can purchase a 3-prong cord separately if that’s what you need. Just make sure to select the correct cord type when adding it to your cart. If you’re unsure, you can always contact Best Buy customer service for assistance in selecting the right power cord for your dryer.
