“I need to connect a Sony Blu Ray player to my Audio/video control receiver (Onkyo TX-DS747) for my home theater which has no HDMI input, but does have a digital coaxial input. Will this work?”

• My Sony Bluray player only has a coax out for external speakers and an hdmi that will carry both sound and audio to the TV. I use this cable to connect to external speskers just fine with no problems. A quick look up and it looks like your receiver has a coaxial input so you should be golden.
