"Display Port" is a particular type of connector, you may be able to tell by looking at the picture of the adapter if your speaker does have that type of connection. Of course, the fact that your speaker is Bluetooth capable means that, if your cable box, disc player, etc. broadcasts Bluetooth signals, you shouldn't need a cable at all!
