QuestionI have a new Dell computer that has one VGA and one HDMI output on the back, my new Dell monitors only have two HDMI inputs. I tried this to convert the VGA output to the HDMI input on the computer to no avail. Will this work? TY

- Answer Yep, that's exactly how I use this sometimes. You may need an external dock to connect it with the VGA cable, but it should work fine. I have used mine with a 2010 VGA monitor and a 2019 MacAir.

QuestionI picked up new cable company equipment...little boxes with only hdmi output. Fine for my “newer” tv, but I have a great old rear projection tv(1080i) that I don’t necessarily want to replace this minute. Will this gizmo potentially do the trick?

- Answer If you have the HDMI double-ended cable, and use this particular cable, and have the old connections that require the male end, then you will need this cable. Double-check all your needs before purchasing but it sounds like you will need this cable.

- Answer Multiple monitors is not a function of the cable but either from a dock, port replicator, or the computer itself. It's only 4"

- Answer most tv’s don’t have HDMI outputs. The HDMI jacks are usually inputs to the tv. Before you try it make sure the tv actually has an HDMI output. I bought mine to connect the cable box to a projector and it works perfectly.

- Answer Had the same problem. Old PC's with Windows XP or older OS seem not to accept the adapter from VGA to HDMI.

- Answer You will need a cable with one end a regular male USB and the other a male micro USB. Many Android devices have such a cable for charging.

- Answer It could be your VGA cable or connector. From past experience a bad vga cable will produce a screen that's missing R/G/ or B.
