QuestionWhat is the purpose of the monitor button and monitor microphone button? Instructions label the buttons, but give zero info on the purpose or when/how to use them.

- Answer Turns on ambient microphone and feeds signal to the earpieces. Basically a really big hearing aid. Useful if you're listening to something and someone wants to talk to you. Just hit the monitor button and you now hear the world around you. Note that this mode mutes mp3 audio but does not pause it. It's still playing while you listen to the world around you IRL.

QuestionOk, I just bought a new Insignia headset for 79.99 at Best Buy. I had an LG. With the LG I was able to use hands free calling, I could be across the room from my phone press a button on my LG headset and tell it to "Call Mom" & it would. This one won't.

- Answer I experienced exactly the same issue however got my Insignia for a better price. Apparently the LG is no longer sold at Best Buy.

- Answer I felt the same way initially but after my purchase I noticed differences from my previous Bluetooth headset and this one; namely battery life and audio quality. (Upgraded from LG HBS 750, which did not have noise cancelling.) This particular model is on clearance in some areas currently, I bought a set for $79.99 when this model was first released. Sale price appeared to be $39.99 for this model on clearance. So long as the devices' batteries' cells have survived the time on shelves; this headset is a steal for the price!

QuestionThe led turns red for 2 seconds and then goes blank. I have not used the earphones in a few months but they worked fine at that time. Now only the red light for a few seconds and it does not charge! ?Whats happening. IU remove the charging cable dead!

- Answer When charging, the LED is red. To turn on the headset, you have to remove the charging cable. Once you turn on the headset, the LED will be blue.

- Answer Without you pairing to the neighbors device, no. If you're not using bluetooth for call audio, I would just turn bluetooth off.
