Q: QuestionI can’t get the receiver and transmitter to pair (get a solid blue light). The units are about 13 feet apart. Any suggestions? I hold the pair button for 3 seconds and the light flickers blue and red but turns red after not pairing.

• A:Answer I would say yes. The kit comes with audio cables for using on soundbars as an option. You will probably have to use both remotes to control the sound or get a universal. I had an Insignia soundbar so able to use one remote

Q: QuestionI bought an insignia rmc hursk 18 from best buy in September. It was installed by best buy contractors. The front box is blinking and The sound goes on and off. I checked connections and they all look good. What is wrong?

• A:Answer I had a difficult time setting up the speakers and finally got them working using an optical cable through my sound bar. Could never get them working with an HDMI ARC cable. Not sure why you are having intermittent sound. If you can, I would recommend returning the speakers if able and getting a different brand that work. I have found that even with them working, they are not the best. Good luck.

Q: QuestionCan I connect these speakers to my Pioneer A/V surround receiver without using the transmitter and receiver that comes with them? My Pioneer receiver outputs 80 watts/channel. Would the maximum input capacity of these speakers be compatible with that?

• A:Answer Yes, but they are not Bluetooth. You must have direct line of site from the transmitter & receiver. Also, the remote only works if it is aimed right at the receiver.

• A:Answer Maybe, if the system is used for basic front channel, left-right separation (decent at best). The portal accepts HDMI or RCA type connectors. I wouldn't recommend it's purchase if you're using your laptop for streaming to your TV. The overall quality for use in a surround system set-up may not be a good fit.
