Q: QuestionI purchased this unit a couple weeks ago. The fastest downloads I seem to be able to get are 95mbs. We have 1 gb up and down service. Should I be using a different adapter? I have a brand new Dell Inspiron 7000 series. Please advise

• A:Answer I don't understand why you need to use an ethernet USB adapter on a computer that has a Gigabit ethernet port on the right side. Also, this USB adapter is a USB 2.0 device. USB 2.0 offers transfer rates of 480 Mbps and USB 3.0 offers transfer rates of 4.8 Gbps - that's 10 times faster. I presume you have a cable with an RJ-45 connector on the end that you plug into the USB adapter. Why can't you just plug this into the LAN port on the computer? So my answer comes into two parts 1) USB 2.0 is a slower interface 2) why are you even going the USB route?

My Visio laptop/tablet did not have an Ethernet connector to work with the cheapest TWC internet, was told on phone I was out of luck with the type of laptop but when at Geek Squad for a repair I asked and he said "sure, it's around $23", so call Geek Squad and ask do they have one for the computer model you have.

• A:Answer If you are looking to get your wii online you would need to connect the wii to the internet and not the tv. It's been some time since I have looked into wii settings but I believe they are wifi capable. If not, you would need to hard wire direct. Check to see if the wii has a ethernet port first before buying.
