- Best answer: With 8 cores and 16 threads and with a boost clock of 4.8GHz, this CPU plays games smoothly at 4K and 1440p ,assuming you have an adequate GPU. Overclocking with the K version of this CPU can be beneficial in certain circumstances such as video editing and other CPU intensive programs, but not so much with pure gaming. The Non-K version will play games just fine.
- Best answer: Hello Keiffy75, the Intel Core i7-10700 requires a motherboard with a LGA 1200 sockets and 400 series chipset. The Gigabyte GA-H110-D3A has a LGA 1151 socket with 100 series chipset so it is not compatible. Best Buy does carry compatible motherboards which can check out here https://www.bestbuy.com/site/computer-cards-components/motherboards/abcat0507008.c?id=abcat0507008&qp=processorsocketsv_facet%3DProcessor%20Socket~Socket%20LGA%201200 Thank you for choosing Intel.

- A: You need a new motherboard. the sockets are different.
- A: If you don't care about overclocking, there is absolutely no real world difference between this and the K series.
- A: Several motherboards (Asus for example) have the ability to lift the power limits on non-K chips, and with performance mode, it runs close to a stock 10700K chip. You just need to get a good CPU cooler to keep the temps down.
- A: The processor comes with a cooler in the box that should work just fine aslong as you dont stress the processor too long.
