QuestionI KEEP GETTING “ERROR 14”. I HAVE CLEAN THE BIN SEVERAL TIMES, AND HAVE EVEN PUT A NEW BIN IN. WHAT CAN I TRY NEXT?

- Answer Flip over make sure nothing is in rollers or even take rollers out and wipe inside i believe there is a sensor maybe it takes 5 minutes and there is easy to read pictures on device to put back properly

- Answer I would say about 10 pounds only because mine cracked when it got stuck under furniture one day and not much force was used to get it out

Questionwould this thing get hung up on a blanket lying in the floor for my dog???

- Answer It might. It depends on how thick the blanket is. I would put the blanket in a dog bed box so its not on the floor. Keep all loose wires, paper, small things off the floor like you would with a regular vacuum. It is a very good little vacuum. We had ours 2 days now.

- Answer Yes there is a little device that you can turn on and put in location you want it to go around for instance I use it in between pet bowls so it doesn't run into water fountain or food bowls for pets

- Answer The Roomba 960 will utilize Cliff Detection Sensors to stop the robot when it approaches your stairs and move it away from that area. You won’t have to worry about any damage to the robot or purchasing any additional barrier walls. The Cliff Detect Sensors are built in to all Roomba models.

- Answer Roomba 960 does work with 220 voltage. To avoid voiding the warranty, the robot shouldn’t be used outside of the country in which it was purchased.

- Answer Absolutely. All Roombas work on finished floor surface. It will also clean or go around your area rugs, depending on their size and weight.

- Answer Hi Tara - There is nothing on the underside of a Roomba to scratch your floors. It's safe to use with all finished hard floor surfaces.

QuestionWhat about fringe on carpet? Will it get caught on that? If so, can you program it to just clean the hardwood?

- Answer Have not had issues on the carpet transitions. But once it’s mapped the house you can setup rooms and tell it which ones to do. We also setup the no vacuum zone so that it doesn’t bother the dogs water bowl.

- Answer You can use every Roomba by simply pressing "Clean" on the robot. The cleaning performance and navigation will work the same with the robot or the app. If you want to schedule the robot, view its performance (clean maps) or specify cleaning behavior you'll want WiFi connectivity and the free app, though.

- Answer For the Roomba 960, there's a Virtual Wall included in the box that allows you to create a virtual "wall" or halo around an area you want your robot to avoid iRobot provides "Keep Out Zones" in its i7, s9 and m6 robots, where Imprint Mapping is an option

- Answer Very well. My floor plan is pretty open, not as large as yours, but the GPS mapping function in this model prevents the robot from missing anywhere. Since your floor plan is so large, it might need to recharge during the job, but will pick up right where it left off thanks to the mapping function.

QuestionI currently have the 770 model. My bedroom rug has areas of black in it. My model will not vacuum over black or very dark brown. Does the 960 clean dark carpets? Does anyone know if there is another model that would?

- Answer Unfortunately the 960 still has trouble with black areas on carpet. I ended up changing rugs so that I wouldn't have a problem anymore. I don't think this is something that has been fixed in any robot vacuums. There are two ways you can blind the cliff sensors. One doesn't require any physical changes, just taping some laminated white paper to the sensor areas. The other involves permanently blinding the sensors by modifying the sensors themselves, so would only suggest this on an old model that is no longer under warranty. I've tried both options on an old 560 that I now use in my basement where I have 3 black rugs. I wouldn't recommend either modification if you have your Roomba run near stairs, though.

- Answer I wouldn’t. There’s a low power mode. You might also consider taking the battery out for that time. They cover this topic in the directions.

- Answer I recently purchased the Roomba 960. I have medium length carpet and 4 pets. The Roomba couldn't pick up most of the pet hair. I would recommend either the i7 or the 980 from my research as they have a more powerful motor.
