- Answer Hello berrygirll, A Wi-Fi connection is not needed to use the robot, but you would be missing on a lot of features. The robot can simply be operated using the "Clean" button, and it will map the environment and start cleaning.

- Answer Yes, you have to map and name rooms. After you’ve done that you can program what rooms you want cleaned and group them.

- Answer Hello Penny, A Wi-Fi connection is not mandatory in order to use the robot, but you would be missing on a lot of features from the IRobot Home app. It can be simply started from the "Clean" button to initiate a cleaning mission.
