Yes, the robot can be operated manually without an internet connection by pressing the "Clean" button. The robot will map the environment and start cleaning missions, however you would be missing on a lot of features.
A:AnswerHello, The Roomba j9+ is iRobot's strongest and smartest standalone robot vacuum, with a price to match. It combines the camera vision-powered navigation of its predecessor, the j7+, with the strong suction power of iRobot's previous standard-bearer, the s9+. It will be enough for long pet hair and will avoid any pet waste accidents.
A:AnswerHello Pepper,

A:AnswerHello,
All our robots feature a "Cliff sensor" which lets the vacuum know when it's near a “cliff,” such as stairs or a balcony. If it senses this, the vacuum will back away from the ledge.
A:AnswerHello Rstewa5,
The device can be used without an internet connection, but you would be missing on a lot of features offered from the iRobot Home app.
If the network emits both signals at the same time, the robot may have some issues with connecting/staying connected. If the network emits both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz separately, the robot will have no issue with connecting to it, as the J7+ can connect to both 2.4 GHz and 5GHz networks.

A:AnswerThe Roomba j7 and its charger are generally designed with universal, dual-voltage compatibility (100-240V), allowing them to work with 220V power sources commonly used in Europe, Asia, and other regions. However, the automatic dirt disposal base (Clean Base) for the J7+ is often region-specific (110V for US models), meaning it may require a voltage transformer to function safely in 220V countries. Additionally, using a robot outside the country it was purchased from will void its warranty.
