- Answer The power source is not necessary for full functionality, only for heavy wattage devices such as external hard drives. It is bus-powered and therefore will work once connected to the computer.

- Answer I have not tried it, but I know you would need 2 A/C sockets to plug each one in. Could you plug each one into a separate USB port on the computer? You would lose two and gain 6.

- Answer If the Stage XPD1 adaptors have USB-male plugs, they should work with the USB hub. I like to buy 3.1 hubs because they have higher speeds when plugging in accessories.

QuestionHow can 2.0 feed it fast enough for it to feed 3.0 devices?

- Answer Obviously you are ill advised. 3.0 IS faster than a 2.0 can feed. I realize I would have to get something like a PCI express USP 3.0 card to feed it in order to get it fast enough. It would fall back to the 2.0 maximum feed speed otherwise.
