- Answer Thank you for your inquiry. The heat you're feeling is likely coming from the soundbar's amplifier, which is located beneath the top panel. This is normal during operation. Our JBL 5.1 Channel soundbar can be turned on and off with your TV remote if your TV supports HDMI-CEC. Check your TV's manual for more information.

QuestionHi I just bought the jbl 5.1. My bar works perfectly fine but she was very warm on the top even on stand by mode. I went back to Costco to trade it and buy a new one and it does the same thing.. works perfect and great sound but hot when using it

- Answer You may need to try a new fiber optic cord. Ours gets disconnected at times and does the same thing.

QuestionMy JBL Bar 5.1 came with wall mounts but no screws. I am placing the speaker screws in drywall. What size of screws and mollies do I need to support the weight of the speakers and not have the mount pull out of the wall?

- Answer make sure that the sound bar is on the same source as what is playing on the TV. For example, If I'm using the sound bar as the HDMI source then I would have to switch to HDMI. If I'm using the sound bar with any TV source, then the sound bar needs to be on the TV seting.

- Answer The controls have up to 5 levels of bass. Check that first, lv 5 is very loud.

QuestionThe remote that came with my JBL 5.1 bar with subwoofer doesn’t work at all. I replaced the batteries that it came with, and still nothing. Is this common? I’ve also had no luck connecting the bar to my home wifi. I’ve gone over the manual, no luck. HELP!
