As for hearing during calls, these headphones only use the right ear for phone calls.
A:AnswerNot likely as they are not noise cancelling and not that tight a fit. Bose makes noise cancelling ear buds exactly for that purpose and you might check them out?
A:AnswerThey are better than the headphones that come with it, but not really better than the airbuds - however if you don't have an iPhone, airbuds are pointless. You lose a lot of the features.
A:AnswerI also purchased the JBL and for the money I paid I feel that it's not what I thought it would be . poor quality in yes it does fade in and out .
