The sub should not be in any way effected by the input used. This may have something to do with the audio mode setting on your source. For example, if you have your TV connected to the SB, and have it set to send DTS to the SB, the SB will get confused and will not function properly. Set the audio output on your source to Stereo or Dolby Digital, to get the best results.
