By default, it only shows when you shift into reverse gear (triggered by the reverse-signal wire). However, Kenwood added a “Camera” shortcut button in the on-screen menu. You can tap the “Camera” icon from the receiver’s screen to view the rear camera feed anytime, not just when backing up. This works while driving forward (for towing, checking cargo, or just seeing what’s behind you). The view will stay on-screen until you exit it or switch sources. The shortcut is not always pinned on the home screen, but it’s available in the main menu/shortcut bar. Wireless CarPlay on the Kenwood DMX5710S can fail if the unit can’t get a stable GPS signal, because wireless CarPlay uses the receiver’s GPS data for mapping and location services. If the GPS side isn’t healthy, CarPlay may refuse to start, drop out, or behave erratically. We suggest you troubleshoot these items:1. Check to see if you have the latest firmware update on the receiver. 2. Loose/damaged GPS cable. 3. Poor antenna placement. 4. iPhone location permissions "ON". 5.
