This is a tough question to answer. You shouldn't try to froth milk twice since you're heating the milk fat and ariating it for it to rise. Overheating milk will cook it and change it and the flavor. We're talking what is taught to baristas and not just someone who wants warm milk. I guess the thought is.... it's a few ounces of milk.... just use the minimum required and start over when you want more. It's not that wasteful.

Please try again later.yes i would make sure it comes high enough to cover the frothing wheel inside. as far as frothing twice I use coconut almond milk which does not turn into a solid foam you can froth again that but if your first time there isnt any liquid form left i would not for fear it could cause overheating the frother without a liquid in the bottom.
