The counter-depth option allows an even profile with the counters which is awesome, but in my experience, getting drawers out has been an issue. Mine is in the corner so there's a wall to the right and a dishwasher on the left, and both have restricted getting the drawers out. However, opening the doors enough to get the drawers open to get stuff out (90 degrees) has worked fine. I couldn't do w/o the counter-depth option bc it's a small kitchen. For the occasional times when I have to remove the drawers I've had to bring the whole refrigerator out from the back wall, then push it back.

Allow for 2" (5.08 cm) of space behind the refrigerator. If your refrigerator has an ice maker, allow extra space at the back for the water line connections. When installing your refrigerator next to a fixed wall, leave a 2" (5.08 cm) minimum space on each side (depending on your model) to allow the doors to swing open. We hope this helps.
