My frig was 12 years old. I had the geek guy from Best Buy come and measure. It's free service. At first he said it would not fit. I pressed him to look closer and remeasure. It does fit. I can hardly put a piece of paper on either side but it does fit where the old frig was. I kept my old refrigerator to be sure. For $20 they will move your old frig to the garage also. Hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The width should be OK. Ventilation is at the bottom. However, be sure to check the height since this refrigerator is taller than many older models.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I replaced my 12 year old Kitchen aid refrigerator with a new one in July 2020. It was very close on the width. I had a 36" opening and the specs said 35 and 3/8ths. Measured it many times and was nervous, but it just fit perfectly. Delivery guys were doubtful, but it slid right in. The measurements were the same on the old frig, except that the depth on the new one was about 2 inches deeper, which didn't matter in my case. This brought me back to the argument I had with the contractor who remodeled my kitchen. I did not want a frame around my frig. He said that's how we do it. To his credit, he went with me to buy the appliances ahead of the cabinetry and knew all the measurements. Would not do a frame again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Replacement, in order to determine if the Refrigerator will replace your current appliance you will need the cut out dimensions. Compare the dimensions to the current model Refrigerator dimensions. Hopefully this information is beneficial to you. Thank you for your inquiry regarding our KitchenAid appliances!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I needed a specific size fridge to replace an old Whirlpool counter depth refrigerator. I'm pretty sure that it will fit in the same space that your built-in fit in, but you may have a lot of space left over at the top of the unit, since the built-ins are taller than the regular counter-depth. Hope that helps.
