QuestionMy kitchenAid diswasher has problem with express wash. It starts and within 10 minutes it stops and beels with clean sign blinking. Does not drain. Checked the drain, water supply, overflow protector etc. any suggestions

QuestionI’m not sure if I’m using the machine correctly, but I only pressed normal wash and pressed start. Did I need to press anything else? The cups came out wet! Help!

- Answer Normal light and Pro Dry light should both show white light. ProWash lights Extended Pro Dry. The driest setting. If you open door before white light appears at right side near handle (red light is during dry cycle not done;blue light indicates wash cycle is in process. Dishwasher is quiet during dry cycle so you might think it is done. Check for White light on front of closed door near right side of handle. White light indicates dishes are clean and dry. Extended ProDry is all dry. ProDry saves heating costs and is shorter. If you open door dishes will air dry. Of course and cup shape dishes turned up will hold far too much water to dry. All water holding shapes need to be turned down.

QuestionMy 2 year old son open the door couple of times when dishwasher was in use. I believe most of the time light was blue when door got open. Just want to know can we lock the door when it is in use or it is normal to open the door in blue light.

- Answer Not sure if you have the same model. Blue=wash Red=dry white=finished. However I know of no locking mechanism or child safety locks for that model

- Answer Hello, The handle that comes on the unit is the only handle that we recommend using with the appliance. We can not recommend changing the handle on the unit. We hope this helps.

QuestionThe dishwasher soap dispenser no longer completely opening during the wash cycle. When it is done, the door is still closed. It looks like the soap is still dissolving (we use Cascade tablets). How do we fix this or get a replacement part?

QuestionOur Kitchen Aid goes on for 4 hours for the Regular cycle. This can't be right? Should I be trying Pro Wash instead for a 2.5 hour cycle including drying time, or is something wrong? Thanks in advance :)

- Answer Hello KathyA, average time cycles are located on page 8 of the Use and Care Guide. Each Cycle option can last between 2:30-3:30 minutes. As for the Drying times can average from 30 minutes- 1:30 minutes. Hopefully this information is beneficial to you. Thank you for your inquiry regarding our KitchenAid appliances!

- Answer Do you have hard water, by chance? High mineral content in your home's water can lead to poor performance with soap, especially in a faster cycle like the Express Cycle.
