- Answer Thank you for your inquiry about our KitchenAid® appliances. For KDPM604KPS The pump is protected from large objects entering it by the foreign object cup in the front and below the lower rack. The maintenance free filter system does not require any regular cleaning or maintenance. If this cup fills up with particles or objects, depress the tab in the center and pull up on the cup to remove it. Dispose of the contents and then replace the cup. To replace the cup, put into the opening and push down to lock in place.

- Answer Hello! For model KDPM604KPS there is a True Self-Cleaning Filtration system. The pump is protected from large objects entering it by the foreign object cup in the front and below the lower rack. The maintenance free filter system does not require any regular cleaning or maintenance. If this cup fills up with particles or objects, depress the tab in the center and pull up on the cup to remove it. Dispose of the contents and then replace the cup. - Answer I ordered my dishwasher on Nov 13 said I would get in time for Thanksgiving. It is now Jan 7, 2025. Still have not got my dishwasher. They were suppose to deliver yesterday.... they came but called at the gate and said they didn't have a code... I called them right back, texted three or four times, talked to the dispatcher etc... no return call or text or email. I'm so frustrated with Best Buy..... I cannot believe the lack of customer service. So, nothing against the dishwasher because I have yet to use or get it yet, but they have the systems in place to ask me to respond to a customer rather than their own people. COME ON BEST Buy .... if you want any return customers.. you can do better. I just finally went to the store and they couldn't even help me. Said their was a glich in their system... no appologies no help nothing. Horrible. Sorry just venting at terrible service.

- Answer This model Dishwasher does not have a built-in air gap. An air gap is needed if the drain hose is connected to house plumbing lower than 20" (50.8 cm) above the subfloor or floor. We hope this helps.

- Answer Controls are on the inside top of the door. So when it's closed you don't see the controls. It's easy to use. This 24" size is reliable, it fit right in under our countertop to replace our previous 24".
