• A:Answer Never use the self-clean feature on these ovens. There are a couple things that can and often go wrong with self clean. Mine got permanently locked and I had to pay a technician $200 to fix it. He advised to never use self clean again. I recently had the ovens serviced for a issue not related to self clean and the technician felt the overwhelming need to tell me all the bad things that often go wrong with self clean. Most of the negative reviews are associated with self clean.
