Q: QuestionDoes this cooktop plug into an electrical outlet for the electric starting and lighted knobs or is there a battery?

• A:Answer Yes, you need to plug in the unit. The knobs also illuminate when in the on the position, which is a very useful feature. Check the measurements. we replaced a fridgadaire cooktop and needed to enlarge the opening by 3/8 of an inch.

Q: QuestionI love this cooktop. However the knobs get quite hot during cooking. Is this normal. I need to use a pot holder to turn the knobs to adjust the temperature during cooking.

Q: QuestionThis model says it has no built in downdraft. I specified that I need the built in downdraft since there is no overhead vent. I was told by the sales associate in the store that it has downdraft before I purchased it. Does this model have downdraft?

• A:Answer Yes that does help. The sales associate at Best Buy lied to me and insured me that it has the downdraft. I will take my receipt to Best Buy today and cancel the order and have the charges taken off my card. I found one with a downdraft somewhere else.

Q: QuestionI agree with the person saying you cannot see what setting you are cooking with - this is terrible. Online it does shows the gauges in a black print. Is there anything I can do about this as I am in my 70s and need all the help I can get. Thanks.

Q: QuestionOn my cooktop I can not see the temperature gauging. Low to HIgh. Simmer. You can not see what Temp the knob is at. It would appear this is the way it is manufactured. Terrible planning.

Q: QuestionDoes anyone else have the issue where the middle burner makes a spitting noise while using both flames? Mine makes a Thipt, thipt thipt thipt noise. Can see the flame flickering in the port. This is irritating.
