QuestionI want to *copy*, not *move* from one Windows 10 PC to another. They are both the same make & model (Dell Inspiron laptops). I will continue to use both (one will be a backup to the other). I have the licenses needed for all software. Ok?

- Answer PCmover is a migration software. SafeErase is included in the PCmover Ultimate. It basically has a DOD wipe that will erase everything on the old machine. Including the Operating System. If you want to reinstall Windows after a wipe then it will be best to create a BootDisk from the same machine before a wipe. You can reach out to MS on how to create a BootDisk and reinstall Windows.

- Answer There is a feature in PCmover called Image and Drive Assistant. You would need to physically remove the old machine's main OS Hard Drive and plug it on the new machine. Assuming the hard drive is still working, we can migrate. Please join us thru chat for further assistance.

- Answer Wifi is the default method of connection. You can use an Ethernet to USB adapter to connect both machines, port to port.

- Answer PCmover will not migrate all the contents of the old machine. The Software compare the contents of the old and new machine then move just what is missing.

QuestionNew purchase. The instructions on my new computer for PCMover included insecure download instructions for the old computer. It was http and not https. Is this a problem? I ultimately uninstalled it from the old computer as I worried it was insecure.
