There are about 9 screws on the bottom panel to be removed and access the internals. Not hard to open. Ram is expandable up to 16GB. The HDD is replaceable itself, but an m.2 SSD can be added. I added a Samsung EVO 250GB SSD on top of the included SSD.

It is similar to a MacBook in construction, meaning that there are screws around the outer perimeter of the base that released the metal panel. Once you are in, you can see everything. Yes, it can be bumped to 16 GB of RAM and it will need to be for better functionality. Yes, the laptop will accept any SSD that is 2.5" form.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can place an SSD by replacing the current hard drive, or keeping the current hard drive but installing an M2 slot SSD and copying Windows into that. That will leave you with the "old" hard drive to use for larger file storage.
