Yes, in the bottom right hand side, where the task bar is located, there are icons there next to the time display, there you will see one icon with a ^ button. If you click on that, you will see the icon for the touch pad. That opens and gives you many options to use for the touch pad, and yes, you can turn it off. I see where at times a touch pad can be annoying because you can hit it accidentally and ruin a page you are working on, so that is a great feature. Hope that helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.TouchPad mode can be toggled on and off via the notifications bar on the bottom right of the desktop near the clock. Simply click towards the little sheet of paper, and you'll see Touch Pad mode in there.
